In Full Swing Fairfield softball hitting diamond daily

It may be spring break time for Fairfield High School, but the Indians softball team is in full swing as they play almost every day this week.

The Indians, coached by Brenda Stieger, began the week 3-1 with the only loss being in extra innings to Mason. They played Monday against Middletown and are scheduled for Mount Notre Dame Tuesday, at Sycamore Wednesday, at New Richmond Thursday and back home Friday against GMC-leading Hamilton.

Heading into Monday’s game, senior Karley Clark leads team scorers with six runs, followed by seniors Jillian Huey and Abby Stanfield with 5 apiece and sophomore Madi Miller with 4. Junior pitcher Megan Spence leads the GMC with 46 strikeouts.
