It was a jubilant night at a packed Alumni Stadium, as Fairfield came from behind to score with 40 seconds remaining and then held on defensively to defeat Mason, 27-22, for a house-rocking homecoming victory.
Sophomore QB Talon Fisher ran for three touchdowns and passed for a fourth, a 20-yarder to senior Christian Jackson, whipping the pink-clad (for breast cancer awareness) Tribe student section into a frenzy.
The evening also included the homecoming parade, led by grand marshal Roger Martin, Fairfield’s assistant superintendent. Halftime ceremonies included the crowning of Alyssa Miller and Will Watson as homecoming queen and king.
