Fairfield’s girls’ volleyball team hosted the Beavercreek Beavers on Monday, Oct. 11, for Senior Night.
Although the team lost 3-2 in sets, there was still a lot to celebrate for the team’s five seniors: Cara Stacy, Arica Thies, Brooke Rouse, Molly O’Shea, and Emma Brehm. The team fought hard despite their loss and the seniors were celebrated with flowers, gifts, banners, and pictures.
Jen O’Shea, mother of senior defensive specialist Molly O’Shea, advised the girls to never doubt themselves and to always reach high for their goals. Assistant coach Lexi Mitchell said she’s loved watching all the girls improve.
Win or lose, the volleyball program has a lot to be proud of with five seniors who represent and will continue to represent themselves and the school well.
Fairfield, coached by Jessi Grimes, is currently tied for fifth place in the Greater Miami Conference with a 5-4 record.
Fairfield next plays Sycamore in the first round of sectional playoffs on Wednesday, October 20, at Lakota East. The Indians are seeded No. 18
