The Fairfield boys soccer team finished its regular season Thursday with a 3-1 loss to Lakota East.
The Indians, though, still had reason to celebrate, as they honored the soccer careers of nine team members on Senior Night.
Being recognized during pregame at midfield along with family members were seniors Bret Long, Gavin Reinhard, Stephen Owusu, Godfred Prempeh, Alex Gallo, Chance Marcotte, Nischal Magar, Landon Tipton and team manager Ronald Henkel.
The Indians, coached by Christian Johnson, finished sixth in the Greater Miami Conference with a 4-4-1 mark and ended 9-6-1 overall. The team next plays at 7 p.m., Tuesday, October 19, hosting LaSalle in the first round of the sectional playoffs. The winner of that game will host Little Miami on October 23.
