This weekend, we’re excited to host our first annual “Coach Z Classic.” We’ll reference Coach Mark “Coach Z” Zecher throughout the weekend. Coach Z was a longtime freshman coach for our girls basketball program, who passed away last spring. He loved our student-athletes, especially our girls basketball program and talked with me on multiple occasions about having more tournament style events for our underclassmen teams. With that said, this event has taken on a special meaning with our community, since we originally planned it over a year ago.
