It was a big night for Fairfield boys basketball.
On Friday, the Indians:
- Closed the regular season by beating Colerain, 81-51
- Celebrated senior night for 5 players, and
- Clinched a tie for a second-straight Greater Miami Conference title (with Sycamore)
The team finished 18-2 in the GMC and 18-4 overall. The team finished 18-2 in the GMC and 18-4 overall.
Being honored before the game, along with their families, were seniors Kollin Tolbert, Geoffrey Atkinson, Owen Bronston, Logan Woods and Michael Swanson.
After the game, the team celebrated the GMC title, receiving T-shirts that said, “Back 2 Back GMC Champs” and then taking turns cutting down the net.
The Indians, coached by DJ Wyrick, next face Little Miami at 7:15 Friday at Lakota West in the first round of postseason play.
