Fairfield finished its Greater Miami Conference boys lacrosse slate Tuesday evening at Christy Rose Dennis Stadium against Lakota West, but before the match, six players – Trevor Almanza, Ryan Joesting, Nick Lokai, Carter Mefford, Matthew Mitchell, and Anthony Wotring – were honored for Senior Night.
Joesting and Wotring both scored in the 12-2 loss to West, while Mitchell had two assists. Almanza had 19 saves in the goal. The Indians – coached by Clay Peregoy – finished GMC play 0-10 and are currently 3-13. They close the regular season on Thursday, hosting Lebanon, then begin tournament play at noon Saturday at Springboro.
