Pending Board Approval, Carl Woods will be named the next Varsity Head Coach of the Girls Basketball Program.
As a longtime Fairfield resident and parent, Carl has proven resume within the basketball community. As a Head Coach, he led the turnaround of the Cincinnati Christian Boys Basketball Program, then as an Associate Head Coach, Carl was instrumental in the recent resurgence of the Fairfield Boys Basketball program. During his tenure at CCS and Fairfield, Coach Woods has been a part of seven conference titles, four sectional titles, three district titles, and has earned a total of 12 Coach of the Year Awards.
“To start, I’d like to publicly thank Coach Dave Loper for his commitment to our Girls Basketball Program over the past decade. He will be missed and I’m appreciative of everything he’s done for our program.” said Fairfield Athletic Director Aaron Blankenship.
“While the success that Coach Woods has experienced on the court is noteworthy, we are most excited about the new culture, excitement, and energy that he will bring to our girls’ basketball program. Our interview committee noted that Carl’s professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to the Fairfield community made him a unanimous choice to lead our program back to success.”
