The 2023 Ron Masanek Wrestling Invitational, always an epic event, celebrated the 50th year that the tournament has been held last weekend on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 6-7, in the Fairfield High School Arena.
Twenty-one schools participated.
Indian wrestlers Tannar Beermann, 144 pounds, and Jake Lentz, 120 pounds, captured 1st place in their weight divisions.
Donating food for the evening for coaches, workers, and refs were generous patrons Skyline-Forest Park, Kroger, Jersey Mike’s, Canes, Bw3, Firehouse Subs, Starbucks, Bigbby Coffee, LaRosa’s, Jimmy John’s, and Buffalo Joes.
