Boys Basketball District Champs!!!

Indians move on to regional semifinals
It’s getting to be a habit!
Fairfield’s boys basketball team won its second-straight district title Saturday, crushing Dayton Wayne 76-51 in the finals at the University of Dayton Arena.
The Indians were led by senior Deshawne Crim’s 31 points. Crim was 10-17 from the field, 3-6 from 3-point range, and 8-13 from the line.
Senior Ray Coney had 15 points, 4 assists and 4 steals.
In addition to the strong offensive showing, Fairfield’s smothering defense helped seal the game, particularly senior Mason King’s masterful shutdown of Wayne’s leading scorer, Lawrent Rice.
After the game, the players received medals and the team a trophy. The Indians then cut down the nets.
Fairfield’s next game is the regional semifinals against Princeton at 8 p.m., Tuesday. at the Cintas Center on the Xavier University campus. The winner of that game will play the victor of the 6 p.m. Centerville-Elder semi.
