In Full Swing
Girls tennis off to busy start
Though school has been back in session for just over two weeks, girls tennis is in full swing and already five matches into the season. Fairfield, now 1-4, took to the courts Monday, narrowly losing to Princeton, 3-2.
Playing for varsity Tuesday were Zy Williams (1st singles), Adelyn Hussel (2nd), Ericka Cristobal (3rd), Maliah Jett, Kaori Wood (1st doubles) and Melissa Essono, Smyrna Osae (2nd doubles).
The two doubles couples were victorious over the Vikings, while Williams narrowly lost in the third set.
The Indians, coached by Whitney Swinerton, next play Mt. Notre Dame today and then Colerain Thursday (making it seven matches in 17 days!). Both contests are at home starting at 4 p.m.
