Bowling Bash! Seniors celebrated in festive lanes ceremony

Both the Fairfield boys and girls and bowling teams have made it to district play, as the girls season ended Thursday and the boys face off Friday morning.

But before that, the two teams celebrated the Class of 2024 on their respective Senior Nights at the Rollhouse on Feb. 14.

Five boys were honored:

Ty Wilson

Years Playing: 2 varsity, 2 JV

Favorite Memory: Winning the second rolloff at the Baker Bash finals

Favorite Teacher: Mr. Rice

Plans: Enlisted in Navy for nuclear engineering

 

Yassim Taylor

Years Playing: 1 JV

Favorite Memory: The Rollhouse family and Coach MacKendrick for teaching me to be a better bowler

Plans: To study medicine and become a neurologist

 

Evan SmithYears Playing: 1 varsity, 1 JV

Favorite Memory: Shooting over 250 against LaSalle

Favorite Teacher: Mr. Drake

Plans: To attend Thomas More or Miami Regionals in an 8-year therapist program

 

Kaleb Lyons

Years Playing: 1 varsity, 1 JV

Favorite Memory: Earning #1 All-Tournament at 2023 GMC Conference Clash

Favorite Teacher: Mr. Jacobs

Plans: Study nursing at Muskingum, continue lacrosse career and serve in Ohio National Guard

 

Alex Aichele

Years Playing: 4 varsity

Favorite Memory: Was when a match at Back to School Bash had the whole bowling alley down cheering for both teams

Favorite Teacher: Mr. Jacobs

Plans: Go to college to study information technology

 

The four seniors on the girls team were:

Amber Aichele

Years Playing: 2 varsity, co-captain this year

Favorite Memory: Meeting Tavish and Laysia for breakfast before tournaments

Favorite Teacher: Mme. Reed

Plans: Undergraduate degree in biology, then veterinary medicine

 

Nevaeh Baiden

Years Playing: 1 varsity, 1 swing

Favorite Memory: A girls JV only away game. We had no idea if we won or lost, but then Nedra told us we won and that she was proud of us

Favorite Teacher: Mr. Flannery and Mr. Davis

Plans: To study biology/biochemistry on a pre-med track

 

Tavish Leslie

Years Playing: 3 varsity, 1 JV

Favorite Memory: Making it to state my sophomore year

Favorite Teacher: Mr. Flannery

Plans: Studying mechanical engineering

 

Augustina Vincent

Years Playing: 1 swing, 2 JV

Favorite Memory: Winning the SW Ohio JV Championship (where she was also All-Tournament)

Favorite Teacher: Ms. Rose

Plans: Continuing education at Miami University, undecided
