The varsity softball team opened their season with a 7-1 win over Dixie Heights Kentucky. Sophomore Madi Miller slugged 2 doubles knocking in 4 RBI’s on a 3 for 3 day to lead the offense.
Sophomore Addy Huey went 2 for 3 and senior Jillian Huey went 2 for 4 with a double.
Senior Abby Stanfield went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.
Junior Megan Spence struck out 11 to get her first victory in the circle.
The team hosts Princeton today as they open up GMC league play home at 5:00
