Congratulations, Kurt Etter!
Fairfield physics teacher and incoming FCTA president Kurt Etter may have begun a dynasty, officially coaching – and winning!!! – his first two matches as the boys volleyball coach.
The Indians won their season-opener, 3-2, coming from behind twice to clinch the match over Edgewood on March 14.
Coaching alongside him was fellow science teacher Jenn Webb Carroll.
There to cheer the boys on (and to dance the night away) were many members of the girls volleyball team.
On a sad note, a pregame tribute was read for former Fairfield athletic director Mark Harden, who had died in a car crash the night before.
Since the triumphant opener, the Tribe went on to defeat Hamilton in straight sets, 3-0.
The boys next travel to Oak Hills for a match on Tuesday, March 26, then to Middletown Christian on Thursday, March 28.
