Boys Soccer Closes In Flurry FHS Senior Night showed team’s strength

Fairfield’s boys soccer season has come to a close, but not without the Indians putting on a fierce overtime tournament battle that went to penalty kicks.
Fairfield lost to host Little Miami Tuesday in the first round of the postseason.
Before that, though, the graduating players of the team had a moment to shine, as the Indians tied Lakota West, the GMC second-place finisher, 1-1, on Senior Night. Hero of the Oct. 10 game was senior goalkeeper PJ Keller, who had nine saves, including blocking a penalty kick.
Honored on Senior Night were Keller, Yair Delfin, Jacob Russell, Brian Slater, John Castillo, Nick Russo, Aiden Kyei, Tene Ba, Sebastian Madrigal, and Jayden Grant. Players and their families walked through a tunnel formed by the undergraduates while the PA announcer read their bios.
The Indians, coached by Manny Adjei, finished their season 5-9-4 overall, and finished tied for 4th in the GMC with Sycamore at 4-4-1.
