It’s a good year to be a Fairfield volleyball senior.
At 19-6, the Indians, coached by Jessi Grimes, are having one of their best seasons in years.
On Wednesday, they defeated Lebanon in the first round of the postseason tournament, 25-19, 25-15, 21-25, 25-19.
The graduating seniors’ season continues when Fairfield plays Lakota West at Lakota East at 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26.
It will be a rematch from the team’s Senior Night on Oct. 10, when the Indians defeated the Firebirds in four sets, 25-19, 23-25, 25-22, 25-23.
Before that match, the five seniors – Maya Beck, Bella Wotring, Ava Hensley, Kendall Kupper, and Elise Haughin – were introduced to the crowd along with their families.
