Tribe Hangs On Till the End Fairfield Volleyball Loses in Regional Semis to Seton

The season may have come to an end last Wednesday for Fairfield’s girls volleyball team, but it was not for a lack of effort and determination.
The Indians – coached by Jessi Grimes – lost to perennial powerhouse and top-seed Seton 25-15, 25-20, 25-10 in the Division I Regional Semifinal at Lakota West.
Although the final scores may not appear close, Fairfield grinded away and many times went on scoring streaks, enthusiastically pushing the Saints with comebacks for control of the match.
Junior Kennedy Ostendorf led the team with 13 kills, 38 total attacks, and nine digs.
Seton went on to defeat Mason Saturday to win the regional finals and advance to state.
The Indians ended the season 18-7 overall and 5-3 in fourth place in the Greater Miami Conference. The Indians graduate seniors Maya Beck, Elise Haughin, Ava Hensley, Kendall Kupper and Bella Wotring.
