Fairfield sophomore Michael Metz has qualified for the OHSAA Swimming State Championships in Canton! Michael will compete in the 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke this Friday morning.
To celebrate this amazing achievement, Fairfield High School will be holding a “Send-Off to State” Wednesday morning. Michael will be escorted by the Fairfield Marching Band in a parade through the hallways.
Last Friday, Michael was honored during halftime of the Fairfield-Princeton boys basketball game, recognizing him for being the first-ever Indian to be named All-GMC Swimmer of the Year.
