Fairfield’s varsity softball team absolutely thumped Princeton 15-0 in five innings Monday in a mercy rule victory at Creekside.
Leading the barrage was junior Adelyn Huey, who was 4-for-4 and hit her first career grand slam and a record-setting 8 RBI. She also had a double.
Ava Hensley, Madi Miller, and Aurora Wallace all doubled and Sierra Parrot added two hits.
Megan Spence had 7 strike outs and Cori Moore had 3 strikeouts in the combined shutout.
The Indians, coached by Brenda Stieger, are now 9-2 and travel to Lakota East today. They return home Wednesday to host Colerain.
